100% MELISSA WASHINGTON deserves this award. Every single quarter, she helped keep our cohort's spirits up. She is always positive, genuinely cares for every one of us, and is the best reminder of our upcoming assignments/exams. She always checks in on us, whether it is through our group text, individual text, or during class. She offered us snacks all the time and brought us yummy goodies from her lovely partner, and nothing would ever compare to her good luck hugs just before exams. She is always smiling and has a kindred heart. I cannot see this award going to anyone else except for Melissa, as she is truly as lovely as a DAISY. I only had two clinical quarters with her throughout our 2 years, but during pre and post-conference, you could just hear her compassion as she discussed the assignment information on her patients. I truly know she is going to be an amazing Nurse, as she is truly an amazing person. I am going to miss seeing her all the time, but forever thankful for God putting her in my Nursing path to help get me through it. May God continue to bless her as she shares her love with her future patients.
