Melissa is a perfect example of what the sisters of St. Joseph of Orange want in a nurse. She consistently demonstrates all the qualities of a compassionate and caring nurse including educating me and my family on my health care needs. When I was facing a serious infectious disease and was in isolation, Melissa made me feel like I wasn't isolated. It was horrible to feel sick, alone and scared for my life. Every night she came in, smiled at me, talked to me about my day, my meds, my family, my course of treatment, what was going to happen the next day. She did everything for me-meds, shower, bed change, dressing wounds, trash. She took care of me and still did the same for 4 other patients night after night. I felt safe and well taken care of. Melissa is an amazing person.
