I came in with very serious health issues, causes were unknown. There were many physical manifestations. I was very scared and very sick. It became obvious that this was going to be an intense and complicated hospital stay.
Melissa was simply amazing! She anticipated my needs by getting to know me, educated my family and me on what was going to happen and what I could expect from staff, etc. I have a very high bar when assessing and getting services and Melissa exceeded my expectations on an ongoing basis. Because I knew she was on top of things, I could focus on my healing and not wondering if something was getting done or not. She stayed in constant contact with my primary doctor also.
I loved that she coordinated blood sugars and blood draws to minimize my "pokes". I told her I'd expect that she would be running a floor in the next couple of years. Her response, "I'd miss my patients and all they teach me!" One in a million.
