A patient was brought onto the elevator to be taken to CT. The patient began mumbling and reaching out, and while nobody else on the elevator noticed or paid attention to what was going on with him, Melissa recognized that something was not right. She went up to the patient and leaned down and asked what was wrong, and he mumbled that he was having a seizure. She calmly informed the person who was transporting the patient and then stood with the patient, talking to him calmly. She then stayed with the patient and took him to CT with transport. She used her training to notice that something was not right and then continued to take care of that patient, even though he was not under her care and she knew nothing about him.
