I write to commend the performance of your hospital staff and personnel in treating my brother-in-law. He was unexpectedly hospitalized and we were initially unable to determine the nature or severity of his condition, as we were not formally listed as next of kin, but once that was clarified, we offer nothing but positive feedback concerning the team’s professionalism and thoroughness, giving as much time as necessary to address our questions and concerns about his inpatient care and setting up his aftercare prior to discharge. We called several times to stay abreast of the situation and Melissa addressed our questions and concerns with patience, empathy, and kindness, even encouraging us to check in later during her shift to get updates. When it was determined my brother-in-law would require aftercare, Melissa provided us with all contact info of those involved. All were extremely professional and generous in addressing our questions and concerns. As an RN myself, I so admired the time afforded us as I know how busy all are in direct caregiving. It seems that so often, healthcare consumers are quick to express dissatisfaction and not take the time to provide positive feedback when it is merited.
