Melody Barella, BSN, RN

Melody recently attended a concert at Red Rocks with her sister and cousin. She noticed a fellow concertgoer was having a medical emergency and responded immediately. She not only ran the code, but she also guided those around her effectively and confidently. Her courage in that moment and her core values of always doing the right thing potentially saved a life and will illicit change at the venue. I admire her good nature and confidence to assist outside of hospital walls. Melody also recognized the shortcomings of the concert venue and reached out to alert them, aiming to prevent issues in the future. Her actions potentially saved a life, and her follow-through with Red Rocks has the potential to save more. Talk about going above and beyond!
