It was a very difficult and grueling time for my husband and me, but the kindness extended to us by nurses like Melody made it bearable. Her professionalism never kept her from also relating to us on our level of pain. She not only cared for our mother, but also for us. Keeping us fully informed in a way that was easy for us to understand, provided a sense of control in a situation that was frightening and stressful. Her calming presence was like a healing salve on our hurting hearts. We will always be grateful for the role she played during this painful time in our lives.
