Melody went above and beyond which was vital in caring for her patient, her newborn, and her young daughter. The patient did not speak English, was very young, did not have a support person with her, and did not know basic information like her birth date. For Melody, her intuition told Melody that something was not right. She continued to be persistent in asking more detailed questions that were at the patient's level for being a teenager. Through her compassion and caring bedside rapport, she gained the trust of the patient which allowed the patient to open up more and to plan for how to best care for her. Melody is always professional and tries everything to communicate with patients at their level especially during a stressful time of high-risk pregnancy and or delivery. It is a pleasure to work beside and with Melody who leaves no stone unturned to make sure her patients receive the highest level of care.
