Melody is an outstanding professional. She continually outlined the plan of care each shift and explained things to my grandfather so he could really understand them. He said “I couldn’t believe it, she even got really close to my ears at night because she knew my hearing aides were out”. That was the cutest statement but overall showed me that she really cared. Her personality, compassion and clinical skills are outstanding and Salem Hospital is lucky to have such a great nurse. Melody continued to go above and beyond in communication each visit my grandfather made to the unit.
We all knew that when Melody was on duty he was going to be cared for and no one had to worry about him. We want to formally thank her in this way of recognition.
