Melody Kashdan, BSN, RN
It’s because of nurses like Melody that we have the greatest confidence in the care our daughter receives at the hospital. Within an hour of coming out of surgery, I noticed she looked uncomfortable. Without skipping a beat, Melody immediately checked the IV site on her foot. My daughter was having a reaction. She quickly alerted the physician, applied a warm compress, and elevated her leg, preventing a scary situation from getting worse. I’m thankful for Melody and her intuitiveness. Another great example of phenomenal care.

Melody has been a nurse in the PICU since June of 2020 after transferring from the Critical Care float team. During this time, she has exemplified the qualities of a strong ICU nurse. Melody is skilled, knowledgeable, and always has a positive attitude. She works well with her colleagues, independently seeks new learning experiences, and is often recognized for her kind, compassionate spirit. Her service excellence shines through every shift, even during some of the most challenging circumstances. We are proud to have Melody on our team.
