Melody R. Patterson, RN

Melody should be recognized for her willingness to go into staffing. She was willing to do whatever was needed so MedSurg could have coverage. She is definitely a shining star and an example of what true director's leadership looks like. She was willing to come in and take a team on MedSurg, a department that she does not manage or oversee. I haven't seen that type of director's leadership in a long time. She was willing to give up her staff and her July 4th holiday with her family to ensure that we had coverage. It really touched me. I could have cried seeing how dedicated she is to our hospital and to our patients.
