Melvin Bukalan, RN

Melvin is an outstanding RN who always provides compassionate and empathetic care. He provides remarkable patient experience through his focus on the patients needs and goes above and beyond with the care he delivers. He is a team player who is always available to help others even if he feels it is a difficult assignment. He is always calm and collected even in high stress situations and role models excellence. He is always the first person to respond to bed alarms and round on the floor. He always volunteers to take care of difficult patients and recently comforted a patient of mine that was acting out and yelling and screaming. That patient later praised his demeanor and the fact that he always has a smile on his face.
