Mengistea Wassie, RN
My mom was hospitalized and passed away. Her stay was extended, and all she could talk about was her favorite nurse - Mengistea Wassie! Wassie, this Wassie that, all about how wonderful and good a nurse Wassie is. He really listens to family concerns with compassion and will reach out to get answers or clarify care plans.
So here I am almost 3 years later with a friend in the hospital, and Wassie is doing what he always does, making sure patients get the quality care that the Franciscans are known for. I just had to recognize what an amazing human he is, and I want to commend him for his qualities: (Compassion, Inclusion, Integrity, Excellence, Collaboration & Putting patients first)! He does his job with excellence, with everyone, every time.
