It was a pleasure waking up each morning to Meredith's warm, caring, and friendly face. Her demeanor aided me in building trust in her and her skills. She is very professional, but she implements rules and procedures in a warm and caring way. She always put safety first which is my motto. Communication is very important to me as I was a professor. It is important that what is going on with my body is explained to me in terms that I understand. Her communication skills are as therapeutic as my physical therapy. She relaxes me. When I was moving from red light to green light (when I could move around the room and go to the bathroom without assistance) I relied on her professional opinion as much as I did the doctors and therapists. She spent more time with me than they did and she was always honest, fair, professional, and caring. Another characteristic displayed by Meredith was her respect for the doctors, her fellow colleagues, and "me". She had high regard for my wishes. And even though she was head nurse, if she saw I needed to go to the bathroom, she stopped and aided me. I didn't have to wait. She's very flexible. For these and many more reasons, I want to say "thank you" to Meredith.
