Nancy Cummings and Meredith Doucette were nominated by a mother whose son was delivered four weeks earlier than expected at another hospital and was discharged within 48 hours after delivery. Their son was faced with feeding issues and hypoglycemia, as well as a discharge bilirubin of 8.6 and weight loss of approximately 8%. The baby was brought into our ER and was admitted into the Special Care Nursery. The mother wrote:

"While all the nurses that cared for our son were amazing, I want to call special attention to Meredith, our night RN, and Nancy, our day RN. I was encouraged to call throughout the night and was given constant updates on my son's condition. Both were compassionate and understanding of my fears and concerns, the attention they gave my son was amazing."
