Let me start by saying. I truly believe that Asante looks for incredible people FIRST! Then looks at their qualification second. Because everyone I have come across on my journey with breast cancer has been wonderful. But this lady went above and beyond.
I live in Brookings so the planning, driving, etc. is overwhelming. So, on my first Monday in treatment, I was pretty quiet and reserved. Inside, I was scared and sleep-deprived. She took notice. I became the most important person in her day. She sat down with me and let me cry. Then worked with me on a list of solutions I could never have thought of for myself. She made sure that I put the plan into action. She has treated me that way since- every day of treatment. Even the other nurses saw how she took me under her wing. All the nurses were incredible. But Meredith went so far above and beyond making a lasting impression.
