I had a bad episode of lightheadedness and dizziness. I am a pretty healthy 47-year-old, and was very concerned about these episodes, so I was admitted to the hospital. On my first two days, I was under Nurse Meredith's care. I had arrived at the hospital from the ER hungry. Even though it was after lunch hours, she called nutrition and scored me a turkey sandwich. And that was just the start. Nurse Meredith took amazing care of me! During a routine checkup from the doctor, I had another episode. Meredith went into action! She took my vitals, gave me medication for the nausea, and told me to breathe and to calm down. I knew then I was in good hands. I had the pleasure of having Meredith for two days! She made me feel that my health was a priority to her; constantly checking up on me, making sure I had my medication on time. She even made sure my family and friends were taken care of! Years of experience do not make a great nurse. It's about compassion.
