By possessing the ability to bring out the best in every student, she motivates them to achieve their full potential while fostering a genuine love for the profession.
This educator is special because she teaches in a way that everyone can understand. She allows the students to use fidgets to help them focus she even supplies them. She demonstrates to herself some of the side effects of diseases. She will get right on the floor, kicking and twisting to show us. She is always willing to help a student understand if they cannot, staying later, holding a team meeting, or via email. She will try teaching in different ways if the way she was using first was not working. She makes sure we stay on task and do not go out into left field with a topic and discussion. She treats everyone the same. She gets the class to want to participate and not sit quietly.

Professor Kindred has worked consistently and diligently with our cohort since our 3rd semester. She is a genuine example of what it means to be a role model, mentor, and a true leader in the nursing profession. She always displays her commitment to the nursing profession as well as nursing education by tutoring so many students. She inspires students not only with knowledge but with a true passion for the nursing profession that is contagious. Her enthusiasm for teaching, learning, and nurturing all student nurses she encounters is evident every day on campus.

By possessing the ability to bring out the best in every student, she motivates them to achieve their full potential while fostering a genuine love for the profession. Beyond the classroom, she demonstrates an exceptional respect for all learners. She takes the time to understand the individual needs and aspirations of each student she works with. She offers guidance and nonjudgmental support through not only our academic struggles but our personal struggles as well. Through her actions, it is clear she is invested in the success and professional growth of each and every person she works with on campus.

What truly stands out to me are her personal attributes. She is caring, patient, confident, and flexible. These traits shine through in every interaction I've had with her the past 5 semesters. She handles every situation with grace while making sure students feel valued, respected, and have a voice. This approach fosters an environment that allows students to feel comfortable when asking questions and when we make mistakes, which I have done several times! She consistently works to build strong, supportive relationships with her students and colleagues. Her interpersonal skills enable her to develop meaningful partnerships that create a positive, productive atmosphere on campus.

During committee meetings, tutoring sessions, and class, she fosters a sense of camaraderie, mutual respect, and teamwork that encourages everyone to perform to their highest standards. She is fair and consistent in every interaction she has with her students. Regardless of their background, learning style, or experience level, she treats each student with the utmost respect and offers equal opportunities for growth and success.

When I struggled and doubted my success in nursing school, she reminded me of how far I had already come and to trust in the process. In conclusion, I feel she is an educator whose impact on the nursing profession and on the lives of her students is immeasurable. Her dedication, compassion, and ability to inspire those around her make her truly deserving of the DAISY Award.
