Merlita Santos, BSN

Merlita began her career at SVH as a med/Surg RN. She transitioned to case management where she worked until SVH moved from ‘boots on the ground’ case managers to an offsite telemetry case management model. At that time Merlita gracefully left the organization. After a short trial with the off-site model, SVH realized its significant shortcomings and returned to the in-person case manager model. Merlita was the first to apply. She returned to her former position with enthusiasm and competent case management expertise. All staff were happy to see her return and she is the light of our case management department.
