Mimi was special because she displayed deep care for my health situation no matter how busy she was. She specifically responded to calls, would take the time to explain the medication, and would ensure I understood things. Mimi was also understanding of my concerns but was the boss. She always gave me confidence and relief. Some of the younger inexperienced staff would be rushed or tell me the shift was almost over, but not Mimi. If she saw me wandering the hall, she would always personally take the time to check up on me. It gave me a feeling of relief and confidence when she was in charge.

When my fluids were being restricted, Mimi carefully explained how much I needed to intake, including the amount of coffee and other liquids, because I just thought of water only that was key to my situation since it’s my kidney. Most of all Mimi had an unwavering commitment to excellence, was knowledgeable in every aspect, and was responsive and caring. She was always clear so I would know exactly what to do.
