Meta Kirksey, RN

Meta was instrumental in the process of helping communicate the need of the hospital, the patient family, and CORE (organ procurement program). The case was difficult in nature due to the severity of the injury received. She was a bridge in advocating for the proper donor management and initiating the conversation between the procurement coordinator and the doctor. Furthermore, Meta advocated for the patinet to be moved to a higher level of care ultimately leading to the authorization, procurement, and transplant of organs. Meta was an essential piece of saving and healing 4 lives through donation.
