At the beginning of our program we did not see eye to eye. Fast forward two years and we have become close, best friends, the kind of friends you keep forever, whose children become your nieces and nephews, and even your god-children. The kind of friends whom you can call when you need a pickup or are struggling to understand something. We managed to overcome differences together, come together and make the best of nursing school, and become each other's cheerleaders and confidants. If that doesn't tell you the power of nursing school, then I don't know what does because it takes a big person to be able to come forward, admit faults, and openly accept criticism to become the best version of themself, and she has shown that growth over the past two years. More than anyone I know.
