We had micro Preemie twins in the NICU. Our little girl was thriving; however, our baby boy, T, had become quite ill very rapidly. Mia was his main nurse. We could see how dedicated she was but she also always made time to check in on us and make us feel relaxed and comfortable. Mia organised us to have a session with heartfelt, even though drs weren't going to offer it yet. She wanted us to have memories that were happy, before T's condition worsened and he looked too unwell. The photos were so wonderful, we were even able to bring his twin sister in to be with him for them. They're some of our last happy memories of him before he became very unwell, and we, unfortunately, lost him. Even on his last day, Mia was there. She stayed late on her shift to be there with us and support us. She cried with us in his last moments, and she wrote the most beautiful note to him for his special memory book. We will never forget T's very special nurse who did so much for him and for us. She made such a big impact on our journey here and we're just so very grateful!

Thank you, Mia, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
