My great-grandmother’s time in the hospital could have been filled with fear and uncertainty, but nurse Mia transformed it into something deeply meaningful and comforting. Every single day, my nan spoke about how kind, attentive, and compassionate her nurse was.

She didn’t just provide medical care; she brought warmth, reassurance, and genuine human connection into the room. My nan would light up when talking about her and often said she hoped she would be assigned to her again, which speaks volumes about the impact she had.

What stood out most was how Mia treated my nan as a person, not just a patient. She listened, she cared, and she made sure my nan felt seen and valued during a vulnerable time. Even as her condition worsened. Mia remained a steady source of comfort to her and tried to help ease her fears. Because of her, I had peace of mind when I had to leave, knowing that my nan was in caring and capable hands.

The day of her transfer from Chambersburg to York, my great-grandmother repeatedly asked me to make sure her nurse and CNA were both recognized, which shows just how much they meant to her. The kind of lasting impression she left us with is truly special. She made my nan’s experience not only bearable, but meaningful.

It was clear that this care was given with genuine compassion and respect, not just routine. Together, Mia and CNA Christa created an environment where my nan felt valued as a person, not just treated as a patient. Because of both the Nurse and CNA, my nan’s final days were filled with kindness, dignity, and compassion. That is something our family will never forget.

Thank you, Mia, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
