Every time I work with her I am sure our patients will be in excellent hands. She is a team player, always helping the team to take care of the patients. Micaela is very compassionate always treats our patients with respect, always with a smile! She takes time to talk to them, and she makes sure our patients have everything they need.

I cannot give just one example of when Micaela went above and beyond because she naturally goes above and beyond every day. Micaela exemplifies the PROMISE every day. Micaela always walks into her shift with a smile on her face ready to give the best care to her patients. No matter the patient's condition, circumstances, culture, or background. She treats everyone with the respect they deserve. Micaela is very compassionate towards her patients in every interaction. Micaela is an experienced nurse who is involved in the UPC and takes ownership for making ICC a better unit by helping to improve our patient's experience. Micaela is mindful with her actions and with the care she provides to her patients. If my family member was in the hospital, I would choose Micaela to be their nurse because I would know they are in the best hands possible. Micaela is well liked on the unit not only by the patients but by her fellow teammates. She has a warm and friendly demeanor which makes everyone feel welcome and at ease. Micaela takes the time to get to know each and every one of her patients and always keeps them informed about their plan of care. Micaela also engages with her patients during bedside report and updates the whiteboard as the plan of care is updated. Micaela is also part of our translation team and is always willing to help whenever possible. Micaela does relieve charge and is also an amazing preceptor that really takes the time and patience to pour a great foundation for our new nurses. We are lucky to have such an amazing nurse who always exceeds expectations, takes amazing care of her patients and is always there for her team.
