I have come to realize that it takes a great deal of training, dedication, and compassion for someone to become a nurse. My fiancé had many nurses while in the Burn ICU and all of them were amazing in their own way. Each of his nurses could carry out their medical duties and did so with the utmost care. They not only perfected their skill, but they all made a personal connection with him.

As you can imagine, patients in the Burn ICU, have good days and bad days, ups and downs within their care, during their stay. Nurse Micah, being a fellow Marine, made a special connection with him to motivate him physically and mentally. After being laid up for months, she realized that he did not feel or even look like himself anymore. As hard as it was, she was able to clean him up with a close shave and a “High & Tight” haircut. She really went the extra mile. “Leaving no man Left Behind”. Her compassion is commendable and greatly appreciated by me and his family.
