...Micah Williams, PICU shift supervisor was here to do some indirect time. Our sedation nurse called in ill and we had no other deep sedation trained staff to cover. He used his shift supervisor time (and probably even stayed over) to help cover this sedation. He had a great attitude about helping out which is a characteristic of his that makes him a great leader in the PICU. He checked in with our sedation nurse at home to make sure he knew where everything was. What a great team player! It not only reflects well on him but also on critical care because his commitment to patient care enabled the physicians to do this procedure and prevented any rescheduling for this family. Thank you Micah for stepping up & being a great nurse leader!
