Blake is the most caring, attentive, encouraging, positive, hardworking, and kind nurse we have ever encountered. He was so amazing that we requested him 3 days in a row. He took time to get to know the patient and listened to his every word and need. He further took the time to listen to his stories and found a way to connect on a personal level.

He was extremely compassionate and warm. His positivity was on another level. I kept referring to him as Tony Robbins. He was very encouraging and gave so much hope to my family as well as to my husband, who is the patient.

Besides working so hard for us, he had every opportunity to ask other staff members for help. He refused every time. He said he'd rather clean up a mess in his area or finish a project he started. He normally works on the 6th floor. We were so incredibly lucky to get him in the ICU and so thankful to the charge nurse who went out of his way to grant us our wishes to have Blake help us each day that he was scheduled.

He told us that he very much enjoyed working directly with the patients in the ICU much more than the other floors because he could really focus on helping each person directly. I can't say enough kind and amazing words about him. I could go on for days about him. He touched our hearts like nobody ever has.
