I received a phone call from a patient, S. S has been on service with TMMC home health for 9 months. She was admitted with left lower quadrant pain and had been in and out of the ED frequently prior to being referred to home health. She has had multiple issues including uncontrolled headaches, chest pain, hypertension, and anxiety. Michael Bernardo was assigned as her primary home health nurse. He worked tirelessly with the patient and her physician, even after hours, to get her symptoms under control. She required frequent assessments and medication adjustments.
S states "I want to express my acknowledgment to the department of home health and to all who visited me at home. They are all amazing but my deepest appreciation to Michael, he is so professional, knowledgeable, and very polite. I believed in him and his advice. He is the best person I ever had care for me - even better than the doctors! He showed a benevolent attitude and constant desire to help me in my difficult situation. He is the reason for my recovery and I am very thankful. Everyone needs to know what a great nurse he is!"
