michael byrd, RN, Educator

Michael is a great mentor and resource for anyone in our department. He also took the task of getting the Surgical Services Dept involved in training future nurses. We now belong to the Seattle Area Hospital Consortium for this type of care. He is a great patient advocate, making sure that they get the best and latest care possible. Michael is an active member of the SCIP committee and very instrumental in creating Surgery and Anesthesia Patient Safety Checklist. He also provides direct patient care when needed. He is our technical adviser regarding different machines in the department. He is always pleasant and willing to help out. Michael is a great TEAM worker!
