The DAISY Award selection committee arrived on Mike's unit during their unit's Halloween celebration. Mike was wearing a Superman costume, but his superpower is being a Registered Nurse!

During the two months I was a patient at MossRehab, I interacted with many caring and competent nurses. The one that stood out for me is Mike Carpenter. Mike is an intelligent, caring, and dedicated nurse who goes above and beyond to take care of the needs of his patients. Every day Mike worked, he would always stop by my room at the start of shift to check in with me, to see how I was doing, and what, if anything I needed.

Mike heard about my hair growing. I'm usually clean shaven so when my son came to see me he said, "Dad, you have hair!" The very next day, Mike shaved my head and face for me - it made my day!!
