... Although Emergency visits are never pleasant, my ER visit was far better than I could have imagined thanks to Mike Garven and staff. I was in severe pain and was almost immediately processed into ER (even with new EPIC system challenges). It was more than obvious that Mike had assumed a leadership role during transition to EPIC since everyone kept seeking him to resolve any and all issues. Under Mike's guidance, they immediately began managing my extreme pain and running tests. Even though ER appeared to be full to capacity, Mike was so attentive, knowledgeable and reassuring, I felt as if I was the only patient. I'm so glad I made the decision to pass by 2 other hospitals to come to Cushing!
