Mike's demeanor, energy, and attitude create calm among the chaos. He is one of the most approachable, reasonable, reliable, and supportive people I've had the fortune to know, let alone work with.
Mike was my preceptor from the very beginning when I was an intern during my final semester of nursing school.  He supported me through my first rapid, my first time giving chemo, and even texted words of encouragement when I came to work one day and found out I was the charge nurse!  I have worked alongside him being thrown onto a DIFFERENT floor to be charge on a COVID unit, I have watched him go from staff nurse to manager of 3 units overnight, and I have never lost confidence in him. Mike's demeanor, energy, and attitude create calm among the chaos. He is one of the most approachable, reasonable, reliable, and supportive people I've had the fortune to know, let alone work with.  I recommend him to anyone looking for a mentor partner, supervisor, assistant whatever, Mike will make it work to benefit others, and the best part is he laughs at my jokes.  You have no idea how proud we are of you, Mike!! Keep up the good work. I know we have your back just as you have always had ours.

Mike is the true definition of a leader. There is evidence of this in his daily work. I don't know how he does it but he effectively manages 3 units. We all have had bad days, sometimes it may be staffing or patients but with Mike, I never feel like I'm alone. Mike comes to our unit and not only asks what he can do but puts words into action. He assists with chemo hangs, takes care of admissions, starts difficult IVs, transports patients, helps them to the restroom, cleans them up, passes medications, etc. There was a time when our nightshift was hurting for staffing, and I offered to pick up and the nurse that was supposed to work with me that night called in so Mike came in and worked the entire night shift with me. He is a vital part of our small oncology team but he makes such a huge impact. I can't think of anyone more deserving even if he is not selected I want him (you Mike) to know all your efforts are appreciated!! Thank you for all you do.

As a new graduate, Mike was very supportive of my success and journey in developing my nursing abilities. Mike leads with care and compassion, and it's contagious!! Mike is always asking, "How are we doing?!" and Mike is always available to us when we want to voice our concerns.  Mike is very involved and easily supports the staff. I don't think I would have stayed and committed to my unit without him. Thank you, Mike.

Mike is an amazing leader who leads by example. You can tell he has compassion not only for staff but also for every single patient on his floors. Watching Mike with how he responds to patients as well as staff inspires me to be a better caregiver. Everyone would be lucky to have a leader like Mike.
