December 2017 Honoree
michael gordnoshnka, RN, BSN, CMSRN
Over the past few months, Michael has gone over and above with our dementia patients. Two in particular who kept setting off bed alarms and trying to escape roll belts. Michael would set them up on a bed table and give them something to do such as fold clothes all while sitting them by me at the circle desk. They would chat with me and then on Michael's lunch break he would sit there for lunch and bring his food over to eat with them. After their lunch, they would go back to their rooms and nap. No bed alarms going off, no escaping, just sleep. Being the nurse he is, he took the time to make two elderly women feel a sense of worth. Thank you, Michael, for thinking outside of the box to care for these patients.
Thank you, Michael, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
