Michael Hammer, BSN, RN

Michael Hammer is among the most joyful, helpful people I’ve ever met. I believe my father was only his patient once or twice, so I saw him administer care to other patients, including one of my father’s roommates, who had stepped down from the ICU, and all he wanted was to continue watching the channel he’d been watching in the ICU. I do not exaggerate when I say my father’s roommate asked everyone who came into the room to help him find his show on the TV monitor. Michael solved the issue by lending his personal phone, explaining he didn’t need it while working anyway. And pulling up westerns for the roommate to watch.

Michael probably solves problems creatively a million times a week! His care for my father’s roommate made his stay better. Also, Michael is a good “sticker”—he assisted my father’s phlebotomist, and my father never felt a thing.
