Michael Hasudungan Tambunan, RN

I was walking from the Outpatient clinic area to the Nursing office. I saw an RN named Michael H. from 5 North letting his patient soak in the sun through the window briefly in the hallway.

It was a clear, bright afternoon, and she was enjoying it so much. It touched my heart. I went over to say hello to her, and she stated she had been in the hospital for months and was enjoying the sun on her body in her bed for a brief time. I was so impressed with Michael H. and his compassion in giving his patient such a moment of enjoyment during such a prolonged hospital stay that I had to write this on his behalf.

This compassion cannot be taught, and we are very lucky to see the best in nursing with Michael. 

Congratulations, Michael, on making this patient's afternoon and giving her a brief moment of normalcy to enjoy the outside beauty after the clear, windy day... You really deserve this honor.
