Mike's ability to de-escalate patients at the same time he is showing them care, kindness, and compassion is awesome. He is a leader on our unit and is great as our relief House Supervisor. He supports our staff and sets a great example of how to care for our group of patients.
There was a particularly difficult patient on our adult unit who had intellectual disabilities, Mike's time taken with him kept the patient and the unit safe. He was then able to provide guidance to the other staff on how to assist and comfort this patient.
