I met Mike Heussner when my mom was admitted to the SICU. He looked intimidating and serious. He prepared my mom for surgery and would be her nurse after surgery. He answered all my questions and helped when I asked. Most intriguing of all is when big, intimidating Mike started to feed my mom with such care and carefully watched as she ate. I was moved so much I teared up and wanted to cry.
Mike showed so much care to his patients. He was very gentle, kind, and motivating towards my mom. I was so impressed by his actions that I was inspired to write about him. I hope Mike knows how much I appreciate him.
