Mike always goes above and beyond not only for his patients but his co-workers as well. He consistently helps out with their patients in addition to his own. Multiple trauma patients have expressed how comfortable and secure they feel with Mike as their nurse. He is caring, listens to their concerns, motivates, and eases their worries, all while making them comfortable on a day-to-day basis. He explains what is going on, helps them navigate treatment, medication, and expectations in what comes next. Mike also has the ability to make them laugh which helps release some of the stress of the unknown of being in the hospital. He will often stay late to make sure his patients are well taken care of. He has definitely gone above and beyond to provide exceptional patient care.
