Michael M Belmonte, BSN, RN
I have been working with Michael for many years. He started working at Saddleback as a PCT and became a travel nurse; he has worked in different units and is well known by the staff. Michael is so friendly and welcoming to new nurses and floaters; he is a great resource person to go to and loves to share his experiences to help others grow and develop.
Michael has excellent clinical skills and helps recognize patients who start going downhill to get them prompt attention and needed treatment.
What impresses me most is Michael's patience. He spends a lot of time talking with patients and family members, ensuring they understand what is happening and that everyone's concerns are addressed. No wonder Michael's so exhausted by the shift's end because he cares.
Michael is not just the "go-to " person for staff; he is there for me, too. When I need help, Michael is the first to come to me and offer his hands. I cannot count how often we are together dealing with demanding situations. We appreciate Michael and believe he is an excellent asset for MemorialCare.
