Michael works on the Medical/Surgical/Oncology unit and was nominated by several patients who described him as being very helpful, compassionate and informative. One nomination stated that Michael's sense of humor made the hospital stay more pleasant, while another simply stated that "Michael went beyond too many times to write!"

One very heartfelt nomination was accompanied by 2 additional letters from family members commending Michael for his outstanding care. They wrote; "we felt so blessed to have you be the assigned nurse at the time of our loved ones death. Your kind, gentle, compassionate manner helped beyond what words can express."
