Michael Melara, BSN, RN

Michael Melara, RN from 3rd floor Medical-Oncology-Pediatrics, was recognized with 3 nominations from patients and visitors for the wonderful care that he provided. Our family members shared how Michael kept them informed and stayed vigilant throughout his shifts. They told us about his professionalism, communication skills, and also about how he took the time to listen to their concerns. One family member even told us that they had worked in hospital administration for 20 years, and couldn’t think of a better nurse in terms of competence, compassion, and reliability. One thing that should be noted is that Michael is a new nurse, one of our StaRNs! Receiving this type of recognition is incredibly meaningful – and receiving it as a new RN is outstanding!
