I've been a patient at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for 14 days and will be released tomorrow. In that time frame, I've had the opportunity to observe the difficulties and challenges faced by the nursing staff from patient demands and expectations in the face of shortages and staffing issues.

In the face of this, Michael has been a steadfast supporter of my needs and emotional health. Calm, knowledgeable, loving, and caring are the words that I would use to describe Michael. Clearly, he loves being a nurse, but even more, he is good at it. There was never a time when I was afraid to ask him a question and I always had complete confidence in him. I was very down and discouraged due to the numerous setbacks that kept me here from an expected surgery to two weeks of ups and downs and disappointments. He helped to keep me positive and optimistic without dismissing my depression...I consider myself a good judge of character and Michael is an exceptional person- an incredible nurse I am so pleased to have received the benefits of his service.
