I had a knee replacement and had to be admitted overnight. On arrival at the unit, Mr. Taylor introduced himself and his coworkers and explained in detail what was happening. He made me feel confident by his detailed explanation of ongoing care. I could tell he was a dedicated and hardworking RN during my stay on his unit. He had a positive attitude with a personal touch. I feel like he went beyond the call of duty because he often spent extra time to see what I needed. He came promptly when the call light was used. I feel like he was a real team member by his support of coworkers and auxiliary staff. He was highly motivated and positive in all aspects of nursing care. I feel he is a strong asset to the nursing profession. I feel like he deserves this award because he demonstrated empathy, excellent communication skills, teamwork and commitment to his job. On discharge, they did a thorough job of explaining information and getting me out in a timely manner.
