My mother was admitted to the ICU. Although all of the staff were great, Mike went above and beyond and was wonderful. He genuinely loves what he does and it shows. Mike exhibits everything you envision when thinking about what a nurse should be. He showed compassion not only towards my mother but also our family. Although at times my mother's condition was challenging, Mike never seemed to deter from providing her with the quality of care we expected. His ability to articulate to us in a compassionate, respectful way was soothing. He has the utmost grace and composure and he never missed a single point of her medical or emotional care. He even called her "Mama". More importantly, he took the time to listen and made us smile. He made us feel as though my mom was the most important patient in the hospital. Nurses are the foundation of every hospital and Mike is a strong brick that upholds this hospital. Saint Vincent is lucky to have him. Thank you.
