Mike, you are amazing at what you do. You were the STAT RN who came to my second code speed. You immediately took control of a chaotic and stressful situation. You looked me in the eye every time you spoke to me. You explained everything you were doing, told me what meds you were giving, and explain how the meds would make me feel. Even though I am a nurse here at Carle, I needed that and that was huge in making me feel confident in the care I was receiving during the code. You also were the one who had the idea to have me use a vagal maneuver to try and drop my heart rate out of SVT. You have no idea how helpful that was because now if I have an episode of that when I am home, I have a way to help bring my heart rate down when I'm alone.
