My night nurse, Michael, made me feel comfortable and did not make me feel self-conscious. He made me feel comfortable asking questions that I had and made me feel like I could ask any question I needed clarification with and did not make me feel like I was a bother. All of my medications were on time and if he was running behind, he would tell me himself and had the common courtesy to let me know or send someone else to help. That goes a long way because of my condition. He has great people skills and he made conversation with me to help make me comfortable. I think the DAISY Award should go to him because of the skills he possesses because not everyone has the assets he has. I love his attitude and compassion. He is a true DAISY Nurse for his kindness, punctuality, and courtesy for making me feel comfortable as a patient.
