A patient presented to the EMD with life-threatening bleeding. Michael White assisted my resuscitation of the patient and helped me stabilize the patient. Specifically, Michael demonstrated collectedness and serenity while expertly assisting me in a mass transfusion protocol. He communicated well with the EMD nurses and showed excellent leadership skills as a subject matter expert for critical nursing support. The patient ultimately survived and had a good outcome, and I believe all of the nursing staff in EMD should be nominated for the DAISY Award.
