Michaela Johnson, RN

Smart, forward-thinking, kind-hearted, passionate, empathetic, motivated, and compassionate are just a few ways I would describe this leader. Google states that transformational leadership in healthcare involves inspiring and motivating staff to embrace change, improve patient care, and foster a supportive work environment. It’s a style that encourages collaboration, empowers individuals, and fosters a shared vision for a better healthcare system. Over the last few years, Micheala has created the onboarding education for all new hires, she has helped create the teen boot camp, and she has brought in many vendors to help educate the staff on new products and supplies. She has built the entire orientation process for all inpatient staff. She is the cheerleader for certification, NPDP, and NSS-PDP. Not only is she an asset to the hospital, but she also volunteers as a mentor at the high school, working with the ATC to serve as a contact for students interested in the medical field. She is a resource for the entire hospital. We are very fortunate to have her as part of Team Shelbyville.
