Michaela "Mica" Granthom, RN

Mica was charge nurse this last month and was faced with a difficult decision when admitting a new mother experiencing chest pain. The mother was considering leaving against medical advice in order to prioritize providing care for her newborns. Mica collaborated with the night shift charge and AOD, utilizing resources we had in a creative way to support the mother with infant bonding during her hospitalization. Because of Mica’s caring decision, the patient was able to have peace of mind while receiving treatment for her chest pain.
